The project entitled Design and Production of Handmade Carpet Using New Technologies to Increase Exports by the supervision of Prof. Kamaladin Gharanjig was conducted on the extraction of dyes and Tannins from plants with the aim of dyeing yarns for producing Iranian handmade carpets.

For the first time, the research team under the supervision of ICST faculty member, Dr. Niyaz Mohammad Mahmoodi, fabricated a peculiar Laccase immobilized nano-biocatalysts using graphene oxide – zeolite nanocomposites. Furthermore, biodegradation of Direct Red 23 as the target organic pollutant was monitored. The results of this work have been published in Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, 2019
