MSRT appreciation for the collaboration between Institute for Color Science and Technology and Alvan paint company as the country’s superior exemplar in the field of collaboration between academic institutes and industry

The exhibition of research week and technology achievements as an event in the science and technology system aims presentation of researchers’ achievements, perceiving the research and technology needs, technology commercialization and improving the national competition strength. This exhibition is held by MSRT annually. The 22nd exhibition was held on 14-17 Dec 2021. One of the main programs of this event was to express appreciation to the chosen industry collaborators. In this regard, Alvan paint and resin manufacturer was appreciated due to the close collaborations with ICST.

The context of the joint cooperation:

• Reflecting the industrial needs of the company to ICST, periodically in order to fulfil the industrial needs.
• Employing MSc and PhD graduates of ICST
• Making investment in research and technology affairs according to the company needs and potential capabilities of ICST
• Membership of Alvan CEO in the board of directors of ICST technology incubator
• Completion of four industrial project during the last three years
• Issuing technical certificate for the two products manufactured by Alvan company
• Providing the space for installing the large-scale equipment of ICST fireproofing laboratory at Alvan company
